It wasn't a particularly good memory, unfortunately. Mostly I just remember feeling...not afraid, exactly, but.

There was someone in it. Someone I can't remember. But it was as though I knew that I ought to be afraid of him.

I'm not sure, exactly. Sort of a combination of wary but aggressive all in one?

Did you win or did the memory stop before you found out?

It stopped. I was on top of a building with someone that I think was a friend of mine, and the person I was afraid of was on the ground below.

It never escalated beyond that, I don't think.

It was something, all right.

So in effect I've established that I had at least two friends at some point, and also that I may have fought in some sort of...fighting competition, after being invited by someone who made me feel apprehensive.

Not much to go on, all around.

Why does everyone consider it such an accomplishment that past-me had two whole friends?

It doesn't bother me. I just think it's funny, in a way, that everyone seems to have that reaction.

I think it's a little sad to think there may have been people who were very important to me somehow, and I don't know anything about them right now. If they were my friends, forgetting them seems...discourteous.

makes it sound like youre the one who is afraid it would be otherwise
people dont know how to deal with that except to point out how ridiculous that thought is by teasing you a bit
